If you are doing SEO and you’re not collecting an email list, then you’re doing it wrong.
And I know it can sound a bit blunt but that’s the truth.
I know it because I’ve been doing SEO all my life.
Over the past 5-7 years I’ve been dealing with Google hand in hand.
And the problem with SEO is that you can absolutely kill it on the search engines.
But you don’t know how much that’s going to last.
Let me tell you why you’re doing it wrong, below.
Are you Leaving a Ton of Money on the Table with your SEO?
I see many many SEOs that are absolutely killing it on Google at one point.
And they reap the benefits of a nice SEO campaign.
For a while…
A month later, they are still struggling with their rankings.
I have also seen entire business wiped out just because Google decided to change its algorithm.
And let me tell you: Those were not real business.
In fact, if you are depending on one source of traffic, whatever it might be, to sell and grow your business…
Then you don’t have a business. You have a loophole.
And this does apply whether you are doing Facebook Ads or Adwords PPC.
Or growing a huge following on Instagram or Twitter.
You cannot simply depend on one source of traffic to feed your business and buy food!
So how do you stop that vicious circle where you could focusing on growing your business instead of Google’s next change?
How to Stop Begging for Traffic?
If you want to truly become the owner of your business.
And stop begging for traffic, you need to start building your own email list.
That should be your number one priority of you’re doing SEO.
Because that way you’re cutting the middle man.
You become the owner of your own traffic.
And you stop depending on someone else’s wish that you may grow or not.
When you are ranking on Google’s page one, have in mind IT’S NOT YOURS!
And you’re borrowing a tiny piece of Google’s Real Estate.
This also applies for Facebook Groups, Twitter Profiles or Instagram Followings.
They are not yours!
They are being lent to you.
And they can be taken away.
The only thing that truly belongs to you is your relationship with your customer.
Without that, you have nothing.
And that relationship can be nourished and grown by the use of email marketing.
But what if I have a ton of Niche Websites?
Then even better!
You can segment your lists so as to create rapport with them all and offer every one what they want most.
So have that in mind. Create your first funnel and start collecting emails right now!
Hope it helps 🙂
